Effective July 9, 2026.
Tipping Maples LLC ("we") respects the intellectual property rights of others and asks users of MusicianOS to do the same. This page explains, in plain language, how MusicianOS handles content and where responsibility sits. For the formal copyright takedown and counter-notification process, see our DMCA Policy.
MusicianOS is two things, and what we can see and do is very different between them.
The app (Free, Plus, Pro). The songs, charts, lyrics, recordings, and files you create or import are stored on your own device and in your own private Apple iCloud account — they are not uploaded to or stored on our servers. Because we do not host that content, we cannot access, review, or remove it. We do not receive it, we cannot restore it, and we cannot delete it. A copyright concern about something in your private library is not something we are able to act on, because we never had it.
The Pro+ web platform. If a user subscribes to Pro+, content they choose to publish to their public muos.app artist page (songs, setlists, gigs) is hosted on servers we operate and is publicly visible. We are a custodian there, and only there. We can and will act on valid infringement notices for publicly published content — see the DMCA Policy for the formal process, including our designated agent and the counter-notification procedure.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights, permissions, or licenses for any content you import, store, share, publish, or export with the app — including sheet music, lyrics, chord charts, cover art, and recordings. Performing a cover live does not give you the right to publish someone else’s chart, arrangement, lyrics, or recording of that song; those are separate rights. See the Acceptable Use Policy for what may and may not be published to a Pro+ artist page.
If you believe content published on a muos.app artist page infringes your copyright, follow the formal notice process in our DMCA Policy — a notice must satisfy 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3) to be actionable. Accounts that repeatedly infringe are terminated under our Repeat Infringer Policy.
If you believe material that we control ourselves — for example, content on this website or in our marketing — infringes your copyright, email legal@tippingmaples.com with:
We review valid notices and respond appropriately, which may include removing material we control.
Content that stays in a user’s app or private iCloud (i.e. not published to a public Pro+ page) is not hosted by us, so we cannot remove songs, files, or recordings from a user’s device or private iCloud. Concerns about content a specific person holds privately should be directed to that person or, where applicable, handled under Apple’s iCloud terms.
If your concern relates to the MusicianOS listing on the Apple App Store, Apple provides its own content-dispute process at apple.com.
